About Me

Hi, I’m Michael Dias.

I was born in Miami, Florida (US) in 1992. My grandfather, Domiciano Dias, has been an avid photographer and camera collector for as long as I can remember; nearly all my childhood memories of him involve photography in one form or another - showing photo slides of his past travels to exotic locations, his vintage camera collection, his proudly displayed photos of the Ipê trees of Brasilia in full bloom.

While in medical school, I took up photography - primarily as a creative outlet and as a way to connect with my family history, but also as a vehicle to go out and explore the beauty of the natural world.

Since then, photography continues to be a source of great satisfaction and adventure for me, and I hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed capturing them.

Thank you!
